GFTBRA is a nonprofit 501c7 membership club that has played an active role in the maintenance of our local Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest OHV trail systems for decades.
For the past many years, GFTBRA has been able to hire a crew of seasonal full-time trail stewards to help clear our beloved public trails in the Highwoods and Little Belt Mountains. This has been made possible through several grant sources and in direct partnership with the local USFS Ranger Districts.
This year we were able to send the team into the Highwoods to begin clearing trails beginning May 21st. They encountered a large number of fallen trees and blockages throughout the trail system that kept them busy for over a week.
In addition to our hired crew, GFTBRA has several groups of volunteer riders that pack saws and help clear trails while they ride. Our hired trail steward crew noted a large number of already cut trees when they arrived, which helped them immensely.
GFTBRA wants to extend a heartfelt thankyou to everyone that helps get our trails cleared at the beginning of each and every year.
