Skunk Gulch area

GFTBRA partnered with Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest on a trail maintenance project last week in an area south of Dry Wolf. USFS provided the planning, engineering, environmental studies, and extra personnel to make the project a possibility. GFTBRA applied for the grants to help fund the mechanized portion of the project. This grant allowed GFTBRA to fund the contractors, excavator, dozer, culverts, and the skills to get the most amount of work accomplished in the least amount of time. These type projects typically take years to accomplish to go from the initial thought phase all the way through the completed phase. These type projects can only be accomplished through the various people, agencies, grants, and local clubs working together towards a common goal.
