GFTBRA members riding the Highwoods today, Tuesday April 29th. Ran into some snowdrifts and cut some fallen trees. Good overall ride. Here’s the list of trail conditions:
– Campground loop 411, 454, 431 – Clear except for large snow drift at top of Windy Mtn.
– 431 to the east down to the creek had too much snow to attempt
– 412 passable, but with minor snow encountered that should be gone in a week
– 411 all open and passable
– 423 main portion completely ridable with no obstructions
– 413 has snow drifts at east end & didn’t ride
– 415 west end can ride up to the top of the ridge which is clear until you go back into the trees (snow drifts)
